The Year’s Most Anticipated International Pet Industry Trade Show
SUPERZOO set to unveil more than 1,000 new products, deliver business-focused education and provide a vibrant and fun atmosphere for the international pet retail community.
LAS VEGAS (January 22, 2024) — SUPERZOO, North America’s unrivaled pet retail trade show and conference, announces that registration is now open for its 2024 event. Produced by the World Pet Association (WPA), SUPERZOO is the premier event where professionals from every sector of the pet industry gather to discover the best new and unique pet products, engage in business-focused education and leverage networking opportunities to gain a competitive edge. SUPERZOO 2024 will take place August 14-16, with education sessions starting on August 13, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. Currently, only general registration badges are available, which grant access to the SUPERZOO show floor. Attendees will have the opportunity to enhance their experience by adding education seminars and grooming contests to their general registration badge on February 21 at 9 a.m. PST.
Expanding on the extraordinary achievements of SUPERZOO 2023 — including a remarkable 10% surge in attendance — the 2024 event sets out to redefine the industry standard. Last year, a diverse gathering of more than 18,000 pet professionals from 84 countries and all 50 states converged, establishing SUPERZOO as the largest and most inclusive event in North America. This year, SUPERZOO organizers anticipate another vibrant gathering of retailers, buyers and decision-makers eager to delve into what’s new in the industry and build meaningful relationships.
Mike Karsting, senior vice president of WPA, shares his excitement for this year’s event: “SUPERZOO is the hub where the pet industry comes together to conduct business, foster connections and stay ahead of trends. Building on the success of 2023, this year’s event is poised to enhance the industry experience, reinforcing its status as the leading platform for shaping the future of pet retail through product exploration, education and networking.”
Annual Platform for Innovative Product Exploration
The New Product Showcase takes center stage, featuring the debut of more than 1,000 cutting-edge products set to shape the future of the pet industry. The curated and expansive show floor provides an exclusive preview of items before they reach shelves, enabling attendees to stay ahead of market trends. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to explore the newest innovators and entrepreneurs in the pet industry at the Emerging Brands section of the show floor. This dedicated space will highlight 80+ exhibitors and revolutionary products that are influencing the evolution of the pet retail landscape.
Comprehensive Education and Engaging Demos
In addition to its product-focused experience, SUPERZOO provides a robust professional learning curriculum with more than 65 expert-led sessions, covering key topics in pet retail and grooming. Each session offers practical insights, delivering valuable education for all participants to enhance sales and boost profitability. SUPERZOO stands out as the ultimate destination for industry professionals, offering live demos and free Show Floor Talks addressing subjects like business planning, retail consumer trends, data-driven decision-making and effective profit processes and tactics.
Vibrant Community, Networking and Celebrations
The SUPERZOO experience extends beyond the show floor, offering a fun and energetic setting for networking and building invaluable connections within the pet industry. One of the highlights of the event is the highly anticipated SUPERZOO Beach Party, taking place at the Mandalay Bay Beach on Thursday, August 15, which provides attendees with a relaxed setting to connect, fostering camaraderie with music, a happy hour and hors d’oeuvres.
Prestigious Grooming Competitions and Awards
SUPERZOO also features grooming competitions with top pet styling professionals vying for prizes exceeding $35,000. Open to all experience levels, these contests include multiple divisions for each regular breed class, awards for categories like Best First-Time Competitor, Best International Competitor and Best Pet Stylist in Show, along with special contests like the Creative Styling Competition and Abstract Design Challenge.
Extending the SUPERZOO Experience — “Bleisure” Travel
With the show concluding on Friday, SUPERZOO opens the door to “bleisure” travel. Attendees can extend their stay through the weekend and immerse themselves in the entertainment and dining offerings of Las Vegas, ensuring the visit to SUPERZOO goes beyond business and creates lasting memories with an iconic backdrop.
Karsting highlights one of the differentiating benefits of attending: “SUPERZOO is more than just a trade show and conference. It's where business meets excitement. As industry leaders, emerging retailers and pet professionals gather from around the world, we’re not only here for business but also for a lively mix of discussions, connections and partnerships. It’s a unique experience that goes beyond the traditional trade show format.”
